revvedupbanners

Hi gang! I’ve got another little blog here about things to dress up your shop or garage or “man cave” or in my case, my woman cave! It’s a business on eBay which sells banners and not just any banners! I was wanting real gas pumps but really can’t dish out the money for the real thing, but these banners look relatively real from a short distance, hold up to the environment and for much less $$’s!

The motorcyle is a 1981 Honda CX500 which needed a lot of work, but I made it better. It was my brothers which I wound up fixing, then sold it;)

The company name is RevvedUpBanners and owned by a man living pretty close to me in Willis, Texas. His name is Gregg and he’s a pretty darned cool guy and makes really awesome banners.

If you click on the link below, it will take you to Greggs eBay store and you can see just how much he has to offer and pricing of course!

The most recent banner is this Coca cola banner. I love the nostalgic look of the original coke machines, you know, the ones where you pull a glass bottle out of a little door? Those were so cool!

I had this Texaco gas pump in the shop for a little while, just trying to find the best place to put it! It looks great no matter where I put it.

Probably not too many of the viewers remember seeing vintage gas stations, or getting gas when it wasn’t a vintage gas station:(

The large Texaco banner really helps my shop look as close to a vintage Texaco station as I can get!

The large Texaco banner here is 2′ x 8′, I recently saw Revved-Up-banners has a 10′! When this one wears out, which might be a while cause they hold up very well to the environment, I’ll get the wider one.

The Texaco sign over the double doors of my garage isn’t a banner, it’s an actual sign.

I’m always thinking of ways to make my shop look more appealing. I love the Texaco brand, but love all the things of the 50’s – 60’s! probably from when I was young, Texaco was nearby and the men that came out to check the hood and pump gas did wear nice outfits with a cool hat!;)

I recently cut out the pump and plan to mount it on a perfect fitting piece of plywood for a ‘free standing’ pump look. I’ll post it up later when finished! Stay tuned!!! 😉

below; finally got around to adhering the cut out Texaco pump to some 3/8 plywood. 😉

I’ll be adding more banners inside and outside as time moves on. I get nothing from putting his store on my blog, I just like the banners and he is a real person selling awesome things to make life a little more fun! Please check out his store and tell him I sent you! 😉 Hey, and if you buy from him, send me a picture!! I’ll post it here!;) Let’s have some fun!

dne’ 😉
